Following the success of Heikinpäivä, we’re excited to bring another vibrant celebration of Finnish culture to the Copper Country—the Juhannus Summer Solstice Celebration on June 20-22, 2025, in Hancock, Michigan. This inaugural event embraces the longest day of the year with Finnish traditions, community gatherings, and outdoor fun, all while benefiting Copper Country Finns & Friends, the dedicated group preserving Finnish heritage in the Keweenaw.
We’d love for you to be part of this exciting new tradition through sponsorship—helping us create a one-of-a-kind, high-energy event while giving your business valuable visibility in front of locals and visitors alike. With The Finnish Long Drink as a presenting sponsor, Juhannus will bring blazing bonfires, exhilarating cold plunges, a spirited wife-carrying contest, and chilled sips of Long Drink in an official beer garden—all set to draw big crowds to downtown Hancock for this first-of-its-kind celebration. Your support will help Visit Keweenaw and the City of Hancock pull off the longest, brightest event of the summer—and we want you to be part of it. Please consider becoming a Juhannus sponsor in 2025. Juhannus would also consider in-kind sponsors.
