Golf

Enjoy greens and fairways set among the rustic and remote beauty of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Between trail adventures and beach days, sneaking in a round or two of golf is a great way to disconnect and relax. The Keweenaw hosts four 9-hole courses and one 18-hole course plus a variety of non-traditional options like put-put, fling golf or disc golf.

Keweenaw Mountain Lodge

The golf course at the historic Keweenaw Mountain Lodge is an enjoyable 9-hole golf course designed using the Keweenaw terrain, with spectacular views of Brockway Mountain. With alternate tee boxes, the golf course offers an enjoyable and varied round of golf. Typically, the golf course is only available for lodging guests; however, non-lodging guests have access to the golf course one day each month during the golf season — with the understanding that we are a historic wilderness golf course and maintain the golf course as such (not your typical urban golf course). These special golf days are “Ocha Potter Golf Days“.

The special days each month are:

  • Second Saturday in June
  • Second Saturday in July
  • Second Saturday in August
  • Second Saturday in September
  • Second Saturday in October

The course, which is accessed via Five Mile Point Road, totals about 2,800 yards. This is a no-frills course, and your tee-fee is paid using a coffee can. That's about as Keweenaw as it gets.

Calumet Golf Club

Just outside of the historic town of Calumet, the Calumet Golf Club is a public 9-holer with a pro shop and onsite dining.  Designed by Al Travis, the course was established in 1925 and has a driving range and practice greens.
