Lac La Belle punches well above its weight class when it comes to places to stay. Visitors will find lots of choices year-round including cabin and vacation rentals, motel rooms and even trailside yurts!
During the summer, Lac La Belle offers visitors a tranquil experience. Visitors have easy access to one of the Keweenaw’s most beautiful Lake Superior beaches, Bete Grise, and the inland lake the community was named after (which translates to “beautiful lake”). Lac La Belle is a great fishing and paddling lake which can be navigated by watercraft to Lake Superior. During the winter, Lac La Belle transforms in a snow adventure paradise thanks to more than 270 inches of annual snowfall and the Midwest’s premiere downhill ski resort, Mount Bohemia. Travelers also have easy access to the Keweenaw’s winter and summer motorized trail network.
