Suomi Menu Favorites

At Suomi Restaurant, the menu is more than just food—it’s a delicious nod to Finnish heritage. From first glance, you'll get a sense of Suomi's proud Finnish heritage and that classic Yooper cheeky humor with menus featuring Finnish words and wordplay! Locals and visitors alike know to try these standout items during both aamiainen and lounas (breakfast and lunch):

  • Pannukakku with Warm Raspberry Sauce – Often referred to as "Finnish pancakes", this rich, custardy baked breakfast dish is served with a homemade, raspberry sauce that keeps guests coming back for more. Suomi also whips up a stellar traditional flapjack that's bigger than a dinner plate for those who crave an American-style breakfast!
  • Breakfast Pasty – Start your day with a spin on the classic Yooper pasty! Delicate, buttery pasty dough is wrapped around a hearty serving of ingredients like eggs, hashbrowns, green pepper, and onions! If you're hitting the lunch service, get your traditional pasty large or pikku (small)... and even with a side of gravy! (Controversial!)
  • Nisu French Toast – A Finnish twist on a classic breakfast dish. Soft, sweet, and slightly spiced, this is comfort food features the warm richness of cardamom.
  • Suo-bano – This tasty (and toasty) sandwich is truly a classic Cubano, but deserves a feature with its cheeky inclusion of "Suomi" into the name!
