Since 1974, this Calumet mercantile has welcomed visitors like old friends, guiding them to hidden corners of the Copper Country, sharing stories of miners and pioneers, and helping travelers uncover family roots or simply delight in a sweet treat. Copper World centrally located on 5th Street in downtown Calumet, inside the historic John Green Block, the oldest wood-frame building in town (built 1869). Founded in 1974 by Tony and Joyce Bausano, the store is now run by their children, Chris and Tim, continuing a multi-generational tradition. Copper World is easy to access and offers a welcoming shopping experience for visitors exploring the heart of Calumet.
