As fall colors deepen past their peak into the rusted hues of late autumn, the swirling October winds rustle up both fallen leaves and spooky Keweenaw fun! The Halloween season, with its stark natural beauty and spooky ambiance, settles in quite perfectly against the backdrop of Copper Country history. Haunted Hoist House: Fears and Phobias

Oct. 24-26, 2024 | 7-10:30PM

The Quincy Mine Hoist House takes on a ghoulish new life with a haunted tour experience crafted by the Michigan Tech Theatre! Each fall the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Michigan Tech partners with the Quincy Mine Hoist Association to create a haunted experience for all ages, tickets required!

Palosaari Haunted Corn Field

Oct. 25 & 26 2024 | 8-10:30PM

Chassell’s family-friendly daytime corn maze turns on the frights for two nights only during late October! The Palosaari Haunted Corn Maze isn’t recommended for children or scaredy-pants.

Creatures of the Night Hike

Oct. 25, 2024 | 6:30-8 PM

The Swedetown Trails Club invites families to a special guided hike! Make your own Halloween lantern to light your way along the trail. As you walk, keep an eye out for live nocturnal animals—and people dressed as them! These "animals" will share interesting facts about their lives and habitats and even hand out some treats. The hike will wrap up with Halloween-themed snacks for all.

Head to Larium for frights and fun during the annual Haunted Arena at Gipp Arena, hosted by Calumet High School! Experience a night of frightful fun! This event supports the Calumet High School Drama Club

This historic town celebrates Halloween with a Trunk or Treat and the annual Pumpkin Carving at St. Anne's! The Halloween jack-o-lanterns displayed on the steps of the red sandstone church make for picture perfect spooky vibes!

Día de Los Muertos with Mr. Cesar & the Lucha Tones and On the Spot Blues Band

The Day of the Dead holiday is a way to honor and remember loved ones, and to accept death as a part of life. It's a time for joy, laughter, and appreciation of life's preciousness. Día de Los Muertos with Mr. Cesar & the Lucha Tones and On the Spot Blues Band at the Orpheum Theatre in Hancock as the crew attempts to make contact with rock legend Jim Morrison for one last epic jam session!

FREE "Night of the Living Dead" Screening

Oct. 29, 2024 | 8PM 

This 1968 horror icon of the silver screen plays at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock, and is considered by some the godfather of the zombie movie genre, "Night of the Living Dead" is a deeply metaphorical film with progressive themes and casting - come revel in the dark mirror of today's society and the spooky pre-Halloween season! Doors and kitchen re-open at 6PM for pizza and beverages, movie begins at 8PM.

Can't make this screening? The Calumet Theatre will run a showing October 31st at 7PM.

DesRochers Corn Maze
