Living History, Haunted Tales

Quincy Mine Haunted Tours

As autumn settles over the Copper Country, Quincy Mine transforms for a season of thrills, stories, and immersive history. In collaboration with the Quincy Mine Hoist Association and Michigan Tech’s Visual & Performing Arts Department, this haunted experience goes beyond tours—bringing historic hoists, smelters, and hidden corners to life with light, sound, projections, and costumes.

Each year, the event alternates locations between the hoist and the smelter, giving guests a fresh perspective and a chance to explore spaces most never see. Every scream and laugh at the Quincy’s haunted experience helps keep history alive. Visitors come for the scares, but leave laughing, discovering history in a whole new way—and helping preserve these sites for future generations.
