Presented by From the Ground Farmers Market Collective and Visit Keweenaw
The Keweenaw Thimbleberry Festival is a fresh take on a beloved tradition — a week of community-rooted events highlighting the tiny berry with big local pride. Instead of one large gathering, we’re “reseeding” the celebration with a series of small but flavorful happenings across the Keweenaw.
Join us from August 17–23, 2025 for markets, tastings, family adventures, and more — all connected by the spirit (and flavor!) of the thimbleberry.
📚 Storybook Walk – Aug 17–23
Paavola Wetlands, Hancock – Pages of Berry Song posted along a kid-friendly trail.
🥗🍞 Thimbleberry Tasting – Aug 19
Houghton Farmers Market – Thimbleberry vinaigrette + market-fresh sourdough with Meghan Jaszczak of Copper Shores.
🧺 All Week – Farmers Markets
Houghton (Tues), Hancock (Thurs), Calumet (Sat) – Berry-inspired foods, art, and gifts.
