What is the Voter’s Choice Awards?

Visit Keweenaw’s Voter’s Choice Awards is a curated list of the Keweenaw’s top destinations and must-experience activities, selected by a panel of industry experts. This group includes local voices, top Michigan destination marketing professionals, writers, and creatives - all bringing a deep appreciation for what makes the Keweenaw special. These nominees represent the very best the region has to offer, from award-winning pasties to scenic trails and everything in between.

What are the Categories? 

After much consideration and lively deliberation, our panel set out to capture the spirit of the Keweenaw in a way that does it justice. The result? A thoughtfully crafted set of categories designed to distill the full Keweenaw experience - from iconic eats to unforgettable adventures and everything in between. You'll be casting your vote for:

How Does it Work?

1. Nominate Your Favorites
Know a place, experience or local favorite that deserves some recognition? Submit your nomination during the nomination period. Nominations open August 17th and close September 4. Help shape this year’s Best of the Best!

2. Cast Your Vote
Once the nominees are selected, it’s your turn to choose the winners! Browse the finalists in each category and vote for your favorites. Voting opens September 7th and runs for a week.

3. See Who Takes the Title
The votes are in! Winners will be announced September 15th and shared here and across Visit Keweenaw’s social channels.
